Isn’t this a great picture? I love this for so many reasons -
- The photography and creativity of the dream-like background are great
- The baby basking in the dream, welcoming every bit of the here and now, reminds me to slow down and stay in the moment
- The quote speaks to attitude and mindset determining so MUCH of your life and well-being
As the hours, days, weeks, months and years whiz past, making my hair blow, I’m mindful that I only get one chance to enjoy all I have. When I was young and newly in love, I couldn’t WAIT for the next time my love came home on leave from the Marine Corps. Then I couldn’t WAIT until we had a semester break or time off from college. Then I couldn’t WAIT until I graduated, until we got married….
Then there was a lot of time where I was so happy it scared me. My husband and I talked about things being SO good that we were afraid the other shoe would drop. Something bad would happen. And sometimes it did. It seemed the happy times sped by, and only the sad or bad times slowed everything down to a crawl.
Now that I’m older and have the benefit of a bit of hindsight (that’s a nice way of saying that my husband and I are older than almost everyone we know) -
I’m reminding myself on almost a daily basis how very, very lucky I am.
And when you stop, lift your face to the sky, close your eyes and feel the ‘dream drops’ falling softly all around you – it IS – truly – good for your health.
